The Origin
Garage to Bodega.
Marcus and Deja started Munch in 2019 because they couldn't find a snack that tasted like where they grew up. Every chip on the shelf was made somewhere far away, by someone who'd never been to their block.
The first batch of turmeric cassava chips was mixed in a 12-quart stockpot. The first "store" was a folding table outside their building. By 2021, 47 bodegas were stocking Munch. By 2023, the grocery chains started calling. They're still deciding.
